Government of India Vacancy 2025 – Eligibility Criteria
For Inspecting Officer:
- Officers working under Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC), Narcotics Department, Directorate of Enforcement, or Central Police Organisations.
- Experience:
- Holding analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department OR
- 3 years’ service in the grade after appointment on regular basis in pay scale ₹5500–9000 or equivalent.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience in enforcement of regulatory laws, investigation of offences, and collection of intelligence.
For Assistant:
- Officials under the Central or State Government Departments or Organisations.
- Experience:
- Holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department OR
- Upper Division Clerk (UDC) or Tax Assistant in the Income Tax, GST, Customs, Directorate of Enforcement, or Narcotics Control Bureau with 8 years of regular service in PB-1 ₹5200–20200 + Grade Pay ₹2400.
Salary and Benefits – Government of India Vacancy 2025
Selected candidates will get the pay level as per the 7th Central Pay Commission, along with applicable allowances. They can opt for the grade pay of the deputed post or their current pay plus deputation allowance:
- 10% of basic pay for outstation officials (up to ₹9,000 per month)
- 5% of basic pay for local officials (up to ₹4,500 per month)

- The maximum age for appointment by deputation is 56 years as of the closing date of application submission.
Period of Deputation – Government of India Vacancy 2025
- The normal deputation period is 3 years, extendable with prior approval as per rules.
